J is for Joy

My A to Z theme is Addicted to Beads but I'm also blogging Hull Fashion Week which has been running alongside Week 2 of the A to Z Challenge, so...

As today is the grand finale of the latter, and the letter is J... I thought I'd keep today's entry short & sweet (as I'm rushing off to the catwalk shows) and show you a pic of my little bundles of Joy!

What (or whom) are your little bundles of Joy?

  3. Ooh yes - I'd love to try this - working with glass looks so fabulous!! I think my cats would say they are my bundles of joy - my children would proclaim they were (both in and out of the classroom) and lastly my husband would be demanding that he was - secretly I think it might be my embroidery threads or my wooden cotton reels!!!!! 1. Love it! I did originally ask just "what" in the question but then thought I'd better stick a "whom" in there so humans and animals could be included.

    1. :) So me sticking in a whom was well placed then rather than just a what ;)

  5. Hope the catwalk shows were good. I suppose my bundles of joy are my stories and my story ideas - I have loads of them, some published, some developing nicely into full stories and others are just bits of plots and characters that tumble around my head and keep me amused :)

    1. Catwalk shows were great, have been editing some shots today but not had chance to finish in time to write anything today and back to work tomorrow and onto Week 3 of the A to Z... in fact I am just editing some shots for next week's posts... didn't mean to leave it so late but life gets in the way sometimes, and a bus, and a whole host of Catwalk Shows... it's a hard life!! ;)

    2. p.s. I have a mental image of your stories and characters running around free range and in play pens... I think I might have drunk too much coffee this weekend!

  6. Being very ignorant, I have to ask - what are those pretty tubes? How do they relate to beads?
I'd have to say my bundles of joy are my cats and my dog. They make me smile, no matter if I'm in a bad mood, or tired, or having a bad day :-)

Enjoy the catwalk show - sounds very glamorous!

    1. Hello and welcome! Sensible question, and there was me in my rush not saying what exactly they were - oops!

They are glass rods which I am in the process of melting with extreme fire (okay maybe a propane and oxygen flame if we are getting technical) into very wonky glass beads... one day I aspire to make less wonky glass beads with them!

Cats and dog <3 I miss my dog, I will be honouring her this week in the A to Z!

  7. Probably the pile of folktale books I got through free inter-library loan and I really should return after reading them... :D :D

    1. Ah books, another "what" not a whom that I adore!

p.s. Apparently you are all over the internet in the cool places where my husband hangs out - he doesn't read my blog but when I mentioned the A to Z and 26 Ways to Die in Medieval Hungary and how good it was he said he'd already read it!!

I love saying hi to people who've read my blog, or are just passing through via the A to Z, or anyone not a spam bot!

P.s. If you use an iPad/iPhone and are having trouble leaving a comment on Blogger, you might have better luck using a browser that's not the default iPad one... Then from the "Comment as" drop down menu choose Name/Url (you can leave URL field blank or add your web address) or Anonymous and (hopefully) away you go! Mars xx
