S is for Stacking

From wearing very few bracelets pre-2012 I'm now a confirmed bracelet stacker.  I've been looking back through some photos to show you how I wear my jewellery in this way.

The last 2 photos are quite unusual in that I don't normally wear full Trollbeads bracelets double stacked, it's quite hard to get the right look and I am really conscious of the beads clattering against each other and potentially causing some damage.

It's more common to see me stack with different brands and different types, although I've been known to double stack the odd bangle too.

My eye is firmly on my ultimate stacking bracelet system though... Alex and Ani!  Had I started on this brand earlier my A from the 1st April would have definitely been Alex and Ani... how's this for some great coordinated stacking?

  1. I haven't worn bracelets regularly for years! In fact, I guess I'm not much of a jewelry wearer. I have three rings that I wear and I like to wear earrings, but that's about it. When I was younger, say, your age (LOL) I did wear jewelry a lot. I like to wear it now only on special occasions, going out to dinner or whatever. Thanks for sharing, and for commenting on my blog! Have a good one...!

    1. I love rings, that's one jewellery trend that I've never lost. When I was choosing my wedding ring, apart from falling in love with it on the spot, I did so bearing in mind that my taste for rings lends itself to silver and semi-precious gemstones of the chunky variety, so my "everyday" ring needed to be bold enough not to get lost, but fine by itself!

  2. When I was younger, I wore the huge flourecent earrings that were popular at the time. Not a trend that I will be revisiting anytime soon ... :D

I have just started stacking my bracelets, but I'm with you in that I don't usually stack full bracelets. Usually at least one of my stacked bracelets is an X by Trollbeads bracelet or a bangle. And I guess I owe you a bit of thanks for that as It was all your pictures of your lovely stacks that made me keep trying to do it until I finally figured out what worked for me :D

    1. I'm laughing at*the earrings... I think I had the matching bangles (yuck!) Although I do like my glow in the dark beads so maybe somethings haven't changed that much ;)

Aw thanks for the compliment! It's good to find what works for you, if you like stacks I have a great one on the new post for T today, lol, well I think it's great... but wonderful thing about jewellery is it can be done to suit your own taste :D

    1. Hi Kimberly

When I was younger one of the fashions was for hundreds (okay more 10's) of thin silver bangles, basically your arm looked like a slinky... I love the Alex and Ani range which reminds me of this trend but evolved... (although I haven't got any) and I figure they won't turn my arm green ;)
